After giving the New Commandments (mandatum novum), our Blessed Lord adds, “This is how all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” Thus, the Christian will not be identified by any other quality – not intelligence, not humility, nor chastity. Rather, he will be recognized by his fraternal charity.
