3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time (January 26, 2020)
Is 9.1-4; 1 Cor. 1.10-13, 17-18; Mt 4.12-23
What kind of Catholic are you? A “Cafeteria Catholic” who picks and chooses which teaching to follow, or one “united in the same mind and in the same purpose” to the Holy Father and the Magisterium of the Church?
Let us eschew ‘liberal’ or ‘conservative’ labels and instead, ask for the grace to “sentire cum ecclesia” – that is, to think with the Church.
Holy Mother Church speaks clearly on the dignity and sanctity of life, and calls Catholics to “agree in what you say” and work for the protection of all human life from conception to natural death.
By putting on the mind of Christ, we will be that great light for those who walk in darkness.
