32nd Sunday of Ordinary Time (November 10, 2019)

2 Mac 7.1-2,7,9-14; 2 Thess 2.16-3.5; Lk 20.27-38

  • The four brothers, even in the face of death, were unwilling to break God's law. Motivated by their hope in the resurrection, they freely denounced the king's injustice. Let us also stand firm in our faith, and speak out against the injustices of abortion, euthanasia and other actions against life.

  • The doctrine of the resurrection of the body is a consoling truth of our faith, especially when we think of those “little ones” who have been killed so gruesomely.

  • We Catholics must love, support, and protect life in all its stages “from wicked and evil” people. For our living God reminds us, “we are like the angels and are sons and daughters of God, being children of the resurrection”.

Pro-Life Intercession

That relying on the prayers of the saints, we may work for justice for all the poor, the oppressed, and the unborn, whose most basic rights are denied, we pray to the Lord…
